About This Cat

Due to a bereavement overnight and change in circumstances I need to rehome my wonderful cat Luna. I wish deeply that I could keep her but in my current situation it's just not possible and I don't know how long I have before I am forced to move location, there is no current solution where I can keep her and it's best for both me and her that she finds a new home. She is not a pure breed, and has exclusively been an indoor only cat so this needs to remain the same. She is extremely shy and timid especially of new people but once she trusts you she is the sweetest bean. She can be fussy with food (will give you what I already have though) and is a vocal cat, but that just ads to her 'unique charm'. I have reached out to Colchester Cat Rescue, Cats Protection and the local RSPCA but it would be great if she could go directly into a home environment instead of a shelter situation. If any of them 'accept' her I will delete the listings as soon as I can, if it's still live she's still available. She will come with everything I have for her so pet carrier, litter tray, bed (pictured), cat combs and any leftover dry/wet food and treats I have. I will be regularly checking my emails and phone, if you would like to call me please text first just so I know it's not a spam number and I will call you back. Listing at £50 if that's something you can cover (just to help cover a couple things) but it's more important that she finds a new home with understanding owners who don't mind giving her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. I live just outside the town centre of Colchester. Ideally she would be collected but I can deliver within a reasonable distance (not outside of Essex) I just need to ask family to drive me. Ragdoll Kitten Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Ragdoll.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a kitten can be rehomed.
By law, all cats MUST be microchipped
Review and verify any documents, such as TICA registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new kitten:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the cat first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the cat/kitten without you viewing it first
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Ragdoll Owners website
Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website
Seller asks you to send money to a bank account with a different name to the person you have been communicating with
The cat/kitten is advertised significantly cheaper than similar listings
